Tips to make the most of every sighting.
The great migration takes place between July and October. For wildlife in general, the dry season (June–October) is ideal. Zanzibar is best from June to October and from December to March.
How many days do I need?
A minimum of 6–7 nights on safari, plus 4–5 in Zanzibar if you want to combine it with the beach.
What vaccinations do I need?
Yellow fever (compulsory), hepatitis A and B, typhoid and malaria (prophylaxis recommended).
Can the migration be seen all year round?
The migration is a continuous annual cycle. There is always spectacular wildlife in the Serengeti.
