Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone and the Japan that tourists never find.
Japan is the most intricate and most rewarding destination we handle. A country that works to perfection, yet one that demands preparation and judgement to venture beyond the standard routes.
At Away we design itineraries that pair the essential sights with genuinely local experiences: traditional ryokans, overnight trains, neighbourhoods where tourists never set foot.
We have been travelling to Japan for years, and we know the difference between a hotel in Shinjuku and one in Yanaka. Between a Kyoto of crowds and a Kyoto empty at dawn. We take you to the real Japan.
